Astral Photodiode Detectors
The Astral Series photodiode detectors are perfect for microwatt to 30mW cw power measurements. The AP30 and AP30UV
photodiode detectors are powered by the Vector Synergy Indicators Models H410 and H410D to provide optimum performance with
ease of use including automatic wavelength correction. These detectors come with an aperture extension for blocking out
unwanted light sources. The slip-fit aperture extension is easily removed allowing close proximity to the absorbing surface
for measuring diverging beams. Removing the aperture extension also permits the detectors to fit into tight spaces. The
detectors also come with a standard sized 1.27 cm diameter x 8.89 cm long mounting post for mounting to optical tables.
Optional bases (Model 301-019) are available for holding the detector/post assembly upright on a tabletop.
With an aperture diameter of 7.9 mm (an area of 0.5 cm2), power density (intensity) determinations are made easy.
